About Me

- Daughter, sister, wife, mother, friend and educator are all words which describe me, Marilyn Mansfield. I live in Dallas, Texas along with my husband of 25 years. I have been an educator for longer than I have been married. I have taught in both public and private educational settings. I am not teaching at the present time but continue to follow the happenings in education. I loved teaching and learning along with the hundreds of students I taught in Tennessee, Mississippi, and Arkansas. Being Me, Being Free is my first entry into the children's book publishing world. My hope is this book will be of benefit to all of us, both children and adults, to better understand ourselves which will lead to a greater understanding and acceptance of others.
